THEY ARE:
A country in South America best know for its wine.
AS A FOOTBALL NATION:
They are an outfit who for a while in the nineties (along with Columbia) looked tasty.
MY OWN EXPERIENCE:
Chile are another South American nuisance nation.
IN 2010:
A real mystery, potential dark horses.
FAMOUS PLAYERS:
Their goalkeeper Roberto Rojas always stood out for me. Not least for deliberately injuring himself on pitch to avoid a loss which resulted in a lifetime ban. He looked the type.
MOST OBVIOUS REFERENCE:
Wine.
AWAY FROM FOOTBALL:
Wine.
NUMBER OF PEOPLE FROM CHILE THAT I KNOW:
None.
QUOTE FROM A CHILEAN:
Not at this time.
DO I LIKE THEM:
As with any South American country (to generalize) they hold the potential to be a wicked balance of skillful and tetchy temperament.
FINAL COMMENT:
I feel ignorant.
